Every time I discuss AI with someone, the first question they ask is: “Is it worth the money?” So far, no one has asked me what additional insights it can provide—or whether it can help you get “lucky” by giving you a new angle to think about, a fresh idea, or highlighting a risk you might have missed in investing.
For things like double-checking medical advice, seeking suggestions for deeply personal problems, and similar use cases, AI may provide only a 10% edge. But as Jana highlighted in his blog, that can be enough to decide between a winner and a loser.
AI will make the top 10% of people significantly more valuable, as argued in the book Thinking with Machines. Now it’s up to you to decide where you want to be.
